The Byrd, LLC is a golf company that invents and develops innovations that help golfers be more present on the course by removing some of the noise and clutter caused by the inordinate amount of equipment golfers have to manage.
Relate Commerce
In 2020 I co-founded a mobile app startup company called Relate Commerce and served as Chief Product Officer to help businesses reach their customers via mobile devices. Our first product was a mobile shopping app called ShopJester aimed at retailers and shopping mall owner/operators to help them better engage with their shoppers during and beyond the pandemic. ShopJester has full m-commerce functionality and includes robust mobile features including; a complete product and coupon catalog from multiple retailers, AI and ML for product comparisons and recommendation, Geofencing for localized Push notifications, and behavioral data delivered in a beautiful analytics dashboard.
Our second product is a B2C social mobile app geared to help local business better reach their customers by providing them a venue to speak directly to their customers promoting their products and services. Grab'd Local enables business and consumers to interact directly outside of the physical environment using geolocation and push notification services to drive footfall and increase engagement.
VidCompare
VidCompare was an Online Video Platform (OVP) comparison engine that I founded with an incredible software engineer, Alex Polonsky. We built and ran the business back when businesses were just beginning to use video on their websites. There were so may "YouTube's for business" that I thought people needed a better way to find, compare, and choose an OVP. We had a database of over 100 of them each with their own product detail pages and included side by side comparisons, features lists, sample video players, and more.
